He should have stayed there
sometimes the symbolism is just overwhelming!

Bizarre Injury of the Day

Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN) "returned to Capitol Hill this week with a prominent gash on his forehead after he was knocked nearly unconscious back home in St. Paul while -- of all things -- dumpster diving," reports the Washington Post.

Coleman wasn't "digging for food, or trash that he might treasure, or even a Vulnerable GOP Incumbent's Guide to Distancing Yourself From The Iraq War While Still Looking Tough On Terror." Rather, the Senator says he was "looking for something that my wife accidentally threw in the dumpster."

4. Nothing a Republican says can be believed. Where does he
live that he puts his trash in a dumpster?

6. IIRC the Publicans donated massively to the weaker of the two Dems

opposing Coleman to draw off enough votes from the better Dem so Coleman actually got more votes. Coleman is now making anti-war noises because Minnesota is famously Democrat -- I do not think he can be elected to another term.

He took a lot of flack for appearing in the ads for the dentist who capped his teeth. The "before" picture was truly ghastly.

5. Why "something?" Why not what it was? Was it her vibrator?
A dildo? The book where she kept track of his bribe money? The cocaine stash? Well, it was "something," that's all we need to know...wouldn't want him going into a dumpster for nothing. I damn near broke my nose throwing a heavy planter into our garbage, the hinged lid of our St. Petersburg style trash container came down right across my face. Thank god I was wearing a hat with a brim that aborbed a lot of the force of the blow. I'd didn't go to work and say I was throwing "something" into the trash, though.
