Iraq resolution does nothing, Feingold says
WASHINGTON (AP) - Sen. Russ Feingold had a message for colleagues who thought they were accomplishing something significant with a non-binding resolution on Iraq Wednesday: They weren't.

"My fear, Mr. Chairman, is this is slow walking," Feingold said at a meeting of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which passed the resolution 12-9. "This is not a time for legislative nuancing. This is not a time for trying to forge a compromise that everybody can be a part of."

Feingold voted for the resolution, which said that Bush's plans for a troop buildup in Iraq were "not in the national interest" of the United States, but said he would soon introduce legislation to cut off funding for the war.

"This is a time to stop the needless deaths of American troops in Iraq," he said. "We have a moral responsibility, as well as a responsibility to the lives of the American people, to start doing it now."

4. Russ is the only one
who is telling what needs to be told; I am so sick of these Democrats who seem already to have forgotten they are in charge now; this non binding resolution is toilet paper; now we have Warner doing his thing and the idiot McCain doing his thing; next week someone else will do their thing and then everyone has to be bipartisan and agree on some milktoast piece of shit non binding, non offensive, not too brash, dont make waves, dont hurt his highness feelings, let's be easy on the Decider...

While people are dying every day. Worthless, simply worthless. And when the Decider gets this piece of toilet paper, what do you think he will do with it? use your imagination. He decides, he picks the plan, he will do just what the hell he wants to do, just like he always has and always will.

So don't look for any miracles anytime soon.

6. He's right.
The time has long passed to stop pussy-footing up to this asshole Bush. Just pull the plug on the S.O.B. and his megalomania and be done with it! To say to this little bastard, "If you do that, I'll hold my breath" is a fucking waste of time. He couldn't care less. By now, it should be obvious to even the most obtuse among legislators that force is the only thing Der Fuehrer understands, so I say force him to end this nonsense now and then force both Cheney and him out of office via impeachment. Or we could simply impeach them both now and end the lunacy ourselves. Either way works for me.
