Remember that study that said Liberals were less happy than conservatives....
People with moods are more creative! Happy people don't see issues and problems. I know..I know they are all generalizations.

"Got Grumpy Workers? It's a Good Thing

Workers in bad moods can help make your company more creative and productive, according to research conducted by Jing Zhou, an associate professor of management at Rice University's Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management."

1. However, having grumpy people all the time
isn't helpful.

2. I know. I read it in the National Post of all things..and it reminded me
of that study on Liberals being less happy. I know I know..what was I doing reading the National Post? I'll read anything.

3. If my world was based on an illusion, I would be pretty happy too...
Iraq is going "swimmingly" right?

5. On PRI, today, the subject was Shangri-la, and author Amy Tan...
...observed that the concept of "Shangri-la," is, in one sense, oppressive and devoid of passion--no worries but also no questioning of anything. She called it "sinister" and made the connection between that kind of mindset and the ability to be manipulated by authority.

Tension moves things forward.

6. I don't believe that study
Conservatives are always in a fight with someone/thing. They hate blacks, jews, mexicans. They think Liberals are out to get them. You can't be happy if you are afraid or hating all the time. Read freerepub if you don't believe me. These are the least happy people in the world.

8. I agree
seems to me that anyone with that much hate has to be building much stress and bad karma.

9. It may be that anyone who

is engaged, regardless of from which angle, is going to be less happy because of the stress that naturally develops.

Edited for grammar.

This guy seems to be a bit out of touch with reality. The employees who are in a bad mood are probably like that because their boss and/or company doesn't have a clue or care about what's going on. Everybody has good and bad days, but those that are permanently "grumpy" are not going to go out of their way to help out an employer.

11. I agree permanently grumpy is bad. But I guess if you have moods then
you see things from lots of vantage points..I guess.

10. Yes, and it made me think of my all time favorite cartoon.

Maybe that explains why conservatives are supposedly happier.
