My theory on this new power grab executive order.
The shrub is trying to goad the democrats into calling for impeachment.
He can salvage some of his base by accusing the dems of obstructing the comander in chief in a time of war.
These guys will continue to grab power, they think they are untouchable.

1. Which power grab is this?
I haven't been following the news lately.

Is he trying to be more like Herr Chavez and wants to rule by decree now?

DAMNED GALLING, isn't it?

Well, he did declare his intentions early-on, back after he'd stolen the White House and everybody somehow thought he was just so folksy and precious and down-home and adorable. OHHHH! Give me a NICKNAME, PLEASE, george, darling! He stated then: "it would be a whole lot easier to govern if this was a dictatorship and I'm the dictator." Another version is "...a dictatorship, just so long as I'm the dictator." Everybody giggled like school girls. OHHHHHH! george! You're SO funny! SO cute! What a riot! Isn't this refreshing? He's so real! So genuine! Can I go have a beer with him? It was nauseating. I saw that on TV and the hair stood up on the back of my neck. And I heard NOTHING in terms of reaction from ANYBODY on the air. Not ANYBODY. Anchor, reporter, or commentator/pundit. Hell, they said nothing AT ALL, one way or another, about it. I wonder if any of them even remembers that quote. That helped KEEP the hair standing up on the back of my neck.

5. The call for impeachment, if it comes, will come from the people.
The Clinton impeachment produced a powerful political backlash because it originated from greedy politicians and republican activists, not from the populace at large. The refusal to immediately pursue impeachment by congressional leaders, viewed this light, looks more like a shrewd maneuver than abject surrender.

Nancy Pelosi's announcement may have angered a lot of people, but if it spurs more of those people to do something about it than it promotes sitting around bitching and casting "asparagus" at Pelosi, then it becomes a powerful move and one which will benefit America.

Benefit? By all means!
The bitterness and the cloud of wrongness that accompanies that bitterness and hatred (brought to you by greedy, grubby, "me first" republican so-called conservatives) does a couple of things that can be cured, but not easily.

Of course, it promotes more bitterness and blind, uninformed hatred, but it also provokes a lack of motivation to do much more than join the "101st armored keyboardists" and avoid doing hard shit like going out picking up aluminum cans to sell and send a few bucks to quality candidates or buy some stamps and send angry snail mail to your representatives, demanding change and integrity.

Provocatively, tho only cure for inaction is action!
As my old district manager from forty years ago would put it - referring to attitude problems or the pent up anger of distressed employees - "The cure for any attitude problem is a good, healthy shit and a walk around the block."

It looks like Nancy's "off the table" comment may have stimulated and focused the anger and impeachment calls in the public and the sound level has increased, enormously.

With fifty percent o0r more demanding impeachment and seventy percent publicly voicing the wish that the reign of the bfee criminal cabal were ended, can real action be far behind?
