Anyone Else Enjoying Senate Min Wage Filibuster ?
I am absolutely loving it. I hope it goes on forever. Reed is missing a BIG chance to eliminate the Republican party from existence if he closes down this debate. Its beautiful ... GOPers exposed in all their ugliness for all to see ... every day.
Keep it up!
Imagine after the first month, the first year ... when the evening news starts to pick up on it and opens with highlights from todays "historic" debate.
Billionaire GOPers piously protecting America from workers paid more than 5 bucks ... its the American thing to do and by golly they will waste their entire terms doing just that ???
Beautiful!
Besides nothing much will come from these 2 years, BushCo would veto anything they actually got out (unless it really s*cked and who wants that.
Let the gridlock begin here!

1. Yes, its great isn't it? I wish more people would watch C-SPAN.
I didn't start watching until last year, but couldn't stand to keep it on long because of the republicks. Now I watch it a lot more often. It's great real news!

3. The longer this goes on, the less likely the Senate will get to & pass a
resolution against the escalation and against invasion of Iran/Syria... It is *very* important that the Senate gets on to other issues.

Please don't misinterpret me - it is very important the minimum wage bill is passed clean - so I want Reid to come up with 60 votes to end the filibuster so that the Senate can pass a clean minimum wage bill and get quickly onto other critical issues.

:hi:

5. Hmm .. Wishful thinking ..
I agree in the significance of Iraq but am uncertain of the significance of any non binding resolutions.
I think this show is much better.
The issue is so UN- nuanced.
People just GET IT.

8. Is there a law against using material from CSPAN in campaigns?

Over the years I have seen the most aggregious comments made by Republics on CSPAN. I remember watching a meeting once where Republic after Republic got onto stage repeating, "the voters are just too stupid to understand our complex plans for the economy". And I have always wondered why we can't just get a copy and replay it as our campaign ad against those incumbents.
