DNC Winter Meeting, "Strong Leadership for America's Future" Features
Democratic Presidential Contenders

Washington, DC - The Democratic National Committee will hold its annual
winter meeting to highlight "Strong Leadership for America's Future" in
Washington, DC from February 1-3, 2007. The meeting will feature
presentations from the Democratic Presidential contenders on their
visions and ideas for America’s future.

The candidates will join more than 400 DNC members from around the
country, DNC Chairman Howard Dean, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid
(D-NV) to talk about the strong leadership Democrats are providing now
in Congress and around the country and will provide in the White House.

The following presidential candidates will speak at the winter meeting:
Sen. Joe Biden, Gen. Wesley Clark (Ret.), Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton,
Sen. Chris Dodd, Sen. John Edwards, Sen. Mike Gravel, Rep. Dennis
Kucinich, Sen. Barack Obama, Gov. Bill Richardson, and Gov. Tom
Vilsack.

"After six years of failed leadership from the Bush Administration, the
American people want new leadership in the White House," said Democratic
National Committee Chairman Howard Dean. "Our Democratic leaders in
Congress are working to make government work for every American, and the
talented and diverse group of presidential candidates joining us this
weekend are proof that we can bring the same kind of vision, talent and
strong leadership to the White House. Democrats are energized and ready
to build on our Party's successes, and we're confident that a Democrat
will be America's next president."

I just find it odd that people would assume it is done that way. I would think that would be a little too obvious to do it that way.

I told you I wasn't attacking you or anything, just teasing you...and yet it seems like you're still trying to pick a fight with me. Why do you want me to fight with you so badly? I said yesterday that it's not going to happen and I hate to disappoint you yet again but it's not going to happen today either. I don't want to fight with you. You'll have to find your fight elsewhere. Very sorry.

And, I hope it doesn't make you feel any less free, but you're not persona non grata with me, either. So sorry to disappoint you there as well....

I am pleased as punch, though, to see the DNC schedule Wes between Obama and Edwards, though....And that has nothing to do with anyone being heavy hitters. I, of course, have no insight whatsoever into how or why the DNC scheduled the speakers as they did....except that maybe they put Biden in on the day with less speakers because they know he's so long-winded. haha!! But, speaking between two guys known as great speakers but with little experience will be a good test for the General, i think.

This statement of yours implies a lot of things. You are not teasing me, and you are implying that the chairman would play favorites.

For the two of you to just make the assumption you did about the heavy hitters might have been a joke...but what you said to me is not funny.

This is not 2003. Dean is not runnng. I don't have an avatar on, and I don't intend to use one.

However, your little remark about how it bugs me for the "chairman" to think Clark is a heavy hitter is insulting not just to me but to Clark, to Dean, and to yourself. I will continue to post about things Howard Dean says and does....but it has nothing to do with 08. I am so used to
being made fun of about it that it no longer matters. What happened here in 03 and 04 was shameful. The more you guys call me a kool-aid drinker and say things like you just said....the more I think the same thing is happening all over again.

I made a statement that the line-up was not likely done by heavy hitter status, which Dean is way too classy to do, and which was a really odd thing to think anyway...and you jumped my butt.

I have no clue who I will vote for, but it will be someone whose supporters are at least realistic about things their candidate has said and done. No one here ever posts things critizing Clark, and if they post something with a valid question, it gets locked. So you don't need to worry anyone attacking him. I reserve the right to say what I think though.

in NV talking up Howard's 50 state strategy....Video's up in the video forum, BTW.

Don't they look just wonderful together? A team like this could get this country up and running again, no doubt. (That picture's not from NV, of course.)

Sorry but I doubt that anyone's counting Kucinich as having a better chance than these guys, especially Richardson.

8. Most of the candidates will be around for more than just their speaking time

I don't think that the speaking schedule has anything to do with stature. More like individual scheduling. For example, I know Hillary will be in NH over the weekend and Kucinich will be in Maine.
