MSNBC's Tucker Carlson calls Conyers et al "Cowards" for not impeaching NOW
And I'm beginning to believe him. Bushco has so intimidated the Dems who now have control of Congress that they still seem to think he calls all the shots, in Iraq, and everywhere else for that matter.

Someone please draw the line.

5. The Repukes were his allies
Besides they needed someone to point the finger at should the Democrats take back the Congress!!!

What are the numbers needed to get this president and his evil vice impeached, or at least get the ball rolling?

6. Agreed. The evidence is seff-evident
By their fruits ye shall know them, as the Bible says. A Republican record not to be proud of and now those AUMFs and violations of the War Powers Resolution are going unchallenged. Since when is it constitutional to let a 'decider' do whateverthehell he wants ? Fantasy as pretext for war...and another war in the hopper.

Truly, stop them before they kill again.

7. He's using it as a RW talking point
I had a freeper try that on me. "If he committed crimes, you ought to impeach him." The implication was that we don't have enough evidence, or we'd do it. I understand the frustration, but don't walk into bowtie's trap.

48. The House can't get him out. A simple majority in the Senate can't either
The day there are 67 Yea votes in the Senate, the impeachment process will start.

There is no point in rushing it, there are so many crimes to investigate and put on the Congressional record now. After a few more months, maybe 18 republicans will cross the aisle and vote to convict in the Senate.

I say 18 republicans, b/c lieberhole will never vote to impeach w.

13. While I do encourage everyone to avoid Tucker, sometimes you pause a bit too long
and get flashed by his insanity.

Investigations must be performed before the impeachment process can be initiated, and some have already started. I know letters requesting information have gone out from Waxman, so the ball is beginning to roll. I don't think it will take long for them to find "inconsistencies."

After that, the ball gains momentum...

The other trap is "well if you want the troops to come home, why don't you withhold all funds?"

Nope--I don't think the Dems need to take advice from the GOP. Thinking outside the box is called for--like Kerry's lastest resolution on making * responsible to formulate his own timetable for withdrawal.

And an impeachment would be nothing more than a political trap at this time. Maybe down the road, but not right now.

And the fate of their party is at stake.

If the facts are there to back impeachment AND THEY ARE there is no excuse for letting Bushco start another escapade into Iran or Syria right now just to satisfy the 'crazies in the basement' of the WH's blood lust.

Some R's are going to have to start jumping ship soon...think about that one if you're worried about being 'played'.

22. There's no line to draw -- Carlson is Correct
Feingold is calling Dems "timid," when even he is merely threatening to hit the war criminals with his purse. All the while parroting the Big Lie of "co-equal branches of gov't."

The Congress can remove the (p)Resident. He cannot touch them. There's nothing "co-equal" about that.

Whether it's really cowardice, self-delusion, dereliction of duty, or pure ignorance is really irrelevant. The LieberDems are still the butt of the oldest GOP joke in DC:

"Gosh, for a minute there I thought they might actually DO something."

Only Impeachment is a substantive act.

It IS our positive agenda.

It is our ONLY moral, patriotic option.

34. Take a moment and think why he is saying that.
Because Carlson knows that it is too early to have a successful impeachment and conviction. Impeachment without conviction does not do much, so Carlson would like to goad Democrats into prematurely passing articles of impeachment. I think that our Democratic leaders are too smart to fall for that. Impeachment will happen when it is the right time or it will not happen at all. If it is worth doing, it is worth doing right. How many DA's have lost cases when they were pressured by the public to file charges too soon and the person who so obviously appeared guilty was not convicted. You investigate first, not rush to indict.

60. Carlson is such a tool...
...his favorite tactic is to say one fairly reasonable but very general thing, like how he has always been against the war in Iraq, but then he follows it up with remarks about how we need to win it. He really makes me ill. When he drew comparisons between naming a street in Baltimore for Pelosi and Mussolini it made me ill. But very typical for him.
