How am I supposed to pick one of these guys?

I agreed with Clark on nearly everything. Not just that, but he is a great man. He is so capable. Now I am supposed to pick one of these other guys? How?

My choices are:

A Senator who voted for many things I am against. He can't figure out if he is against wars or for them. He will be raked over the coals for his actions post Vietnam. And he reminds me of Gore way too much.

A senator that is under-experienced. This person has voted for all the bad shit. Patriot Act, War, NCLB, Bankruptcy reform act. He is a southerner that can't win in the south (outside of SC). No military or foreign policy experience. Ugh

Dean. Dean scream.

Kucinich: I agree with him on almost everything. He is someone I can trust. His abortion and war pullout views are tough, but he is a good guy.

My decision is so hard. It will be easy for me to vote for Clark in NY. But I might vote for someone else. We shall see. I guess the point is, we have lost the best person there.

Note: The nominee better beat Bush. Otherwise, this is really a shame.

pick the next best man. American politics is forever offering this disheartening option, but there is room for movement here and now. Who best captures that spirit you found so moving in Clark? It's the primaries. Make a statement. Personally, I put the General in the same boat as Dean and Dennis. But the choice is yours. Surely you can find something among the remaining 5 you can believe in...

If the 'dean scream' is all that keeps you from him, maybe you should relook at his views on issues and give him a chance. even the media agrees they blew that out of whack completely.

Kucinich is definitely a great guy and definitely someone you trust.

look at the issues. (can you tell who I am for? LOL )

Check the websites and look at what the candidates have to say then go with your gut. :)

you're the most important voter in America right now. You cn choose with your heart. I don't want to taint my post, but it is a kind of decision between the safe horse, and one of the outsiders. Of course, if you think that same horse is the best, you should vote for it. Otherwise, it's a great opportunity to being fresh ears and eyes to the race, and make a difference.

9. Go with your heart - its the primaries after all

If the frontrunner does not inspire you pick a candidate that does and support him. Thats the best way to get the frontrunner to move in the right direction policy wise. Dean and Clark and Kucinich have all had strong impacts on the race. If I decide to support anyone in the remaining primaries it will probably be Dean or Kucinich.

10. You don't have to decide right away.

Take some time to absorb this news first and give yourself some time to heal. Then make a decision on who you will stand behind. A lot can happen in the next couple weeks anyway.

make the delgates he already has count for something. Give him some more. Or if you feel like you must switch to a candidate that is still in the race, vote for DK. You like his positions, and Kerry has this wrapped up. DK will be in it till the end, and the more delegates he gets, the greater the voice the democratic wing of the Democratic Party can carry into the Convention.

20. I have a lot to consider.

I am going to talk to some of the local people. It would be a huge challenge to do it and I would need some advice. The problem for me isn't the chance at losing or anything like that. The problem is money. I can't not work. So, I have a lot to figure out. Plus, I don't want to start and then have some long time Dem come and take it from me. I understand the whole thing about putting out my views and running in a primary, but some politician might be planning for this already. I plan to kick some ass in my county office no matter what happens. BTW, I had signed up Camp Wellstone in Philly in advance of this. I am on the waiting list and I hope they call.

That is what I am going to do. I can't bring myself to vote for any of them. At least this way Clark will know that he had my heart when he sees the election results from PA. And.... if enough people still vote for Clark, it might make Kerry look at him for VP.

I'm starting to think as my vote for Clark in '04 as a show of support for his run in '08!!

18. If you like Dennis, vote for him. That way you can brag to your grandkids

or your greatgrandkids because Dennis will be proven right whether or not he wins. You can say you were one of the smart ones.
