They have both "been through it" and that creates one hell of a bond. I am not a veteran, but I have many good friends who are and I have witnessed this bond for myself between vets. They stick together like glue. I could very well be full of beans here, but I doubt it.

I suspect the delay in the announcement speech is to give Wes time to talk to Kerry (or maybe some of the other candidates) and cut a deal for switching support. (When I say deal I don't mean it in the derogatory sense, only in the political sense of embracing certain issues near and dear to Clark; no promises of cabinet post or VP) There's a lot at stake and Clark has a base of support that could make a difference in other races. For instance, if Clark and Edwards supporters had combined in Tennessee, they would have beaten Kerry. Clark has 102 delegates committed to him for one vote at the convention and releasing them to another candidate is a delicate matter.

Remember when Bush Sr. and Reagan were at each other's throats during their primary? It was ugly.. very ugly. Then Bush jumped on board with Reagan, and became the running mate? I remember what I thought of him when he did that, after savagely campaigning against each other.

How sad that endorsements seem to be just tools to get in good with the one who'll get in power. Clark may very well endorse Kerry, because of their shared military experience.. I'd go with that theory, it sounds much nicer.

I would welcome his support and the support from Clark's supporters. We need to unite all Democrats and build up a force to dethrone Bush and the Republican regime. We can send a message together. Even if your candidate didn't win, we can all do this as one and I think that would be a great start.

Besides would anyone be so upset if Clark did support Kerry and at the very least was named Secretary of Defense to replace the bungling Bush puppet named Colin Powell?

For any Clark supporters that come to the Kerry camp, welcome to the family. I appreciate the voice that Clark brought to the campaign and the work his supporters did to draw more Democratic votes in November. Let's all work together and complete that message by ousting Bush!
