I Told my Friend I was Going to Hear Barack Obama, She said, Who is he?
I was so surprised. I told her he was the Black man running for President. She still didn't know who he was. I've known her for many years and I knew she didn't follow politics closely but I thought she was a little more informed. I unintentionally made her feel bad because I kept saying, "You don't know who he is? "I can't believe you've never heard of him.

I imagine there's a large segment of our population who are as uninformed as my friend.

1. You should invite her to go with you
She would most likely enjoy hearing him speak.

No worries. That's our job to register new voters and knock on doors.

3. That portion of the population is stupid
sorry, but to not be paying attention to politics is stupid, I don't care how busy someone is, what is going on in politics right now is life threating.

4. I agree with the first post. Invite her to go with you and show her his website
Many are not paying attention to the race right now. that is why the polls are not all that correct and we keep saying Hillary is so far in front due to name recognition

5. I told her to doa google search on him
but I was negligent by not inviting her to go with me to hear him speak. That was my fault. I was so surprised and disappointed that I assumed she wouldn't be interested.

I do agree that the uninformed are skewing the poll numbers.

I also agree that it is crucial that we participate in politics today. This is life and death for us and our country.
