Is China headed for "cultural revolution II"?
Was the 9% drop in the asia markets a government sanction drop in order to shake up the "new capitalist" class or was this another sign of internal disorder? With statements like "democracy is 100 years away" made by the old guard, and the many reports by the BBC of unrest between the young turks and the havenots, I wonder if the old guard is pulling back on their experiment in social capitalism.

Or was yesterday a message to * of what will happen if he pulls the trigger on Iran?

1. The economy even though
market is still controled by the party and they have reduced poverty very quickly. The country will remain communist. The drop may have come because the government wanted it to happen. They are now focused on building a "harmoniuous socialist society" investing in unviersal healthcare, education, labor laws, new taxes and regulations.

3. I've yet to meet a communist in my travels to the PRC.
Perhaps there are doctrinaire communists living in the interior provinces, but coastal China is capitalism on steroids.

They ain't never going back to the 60's....
