Apollo11, do you think supporters could convince Gore to run?
This is a question to Apollo11, who I think knows more about this than I do.

They and I seem to be on the same page; That Al Gore Has Not Yet Decided To Run. Not that he has, nor that he hasn't, simply that he has no plans to, right now. Just as he's been saying all this time.

I geniunely think that he hasn't decided yet, which is precisely why he's left his options open. I think what he's waiting to see is if there is an opportunity for him to run. Whether or not Obama and Hillary drag themselves down. Basically waiting to see if there is a place for him in the elections next year.

If we believe Gore should run (regardless of the statements made by anti-Gore for President people here), would it be condusive to join a Draft Gore movement or write him letters or whatever saying we sincerely wish for him to run? Or do you think he is keeping his options open based solely upon what the playing field looks like at the end of this year?

I support Al Gore above any other candidate, potential or not.

This question is being asked specifically to Apollo11, but I post it publicly rather than privately to get others' opinion on the matter.

Can we the people convince him to run?

2. IMHO, do both...
Join a draft gore meetup group, AND write him a letter asking him to run. And talk about it to friends and family, and strangers too. Get them to join and write letters. Then, THEY can talk to their friends...and so on.

Just as important - or actually more important as of right now, sign his cards for Congress on climate change. (there's a couple of threads at least on this, Al sent email letters to people a couple of days ago)

I think that if enough people want it, he'll probably run.
