4. I am developing a grudging respect

for Gates. And I read that he is not thrilled at the prospect of war with Iran. Cooler heads are finally starting to prevail, methinks.

5. Maybe, but there is some thought that Weightman was

on the hit list because he was asking questions about the negative impact of privatization on the level of care being given to the troops. I think Waxman is going to hold hearings on this.
