Republicans TRULY FEAR a Gore candidacy
I would suggest that Gore is the potential candidate that the Republicans really fear the most. The right wing is already focusing on him and his environmental positions like a laser to discredit him at all costs. They know that he would be formidible candidate and if the election was held today, he'd run away with the election, due to his longstanding positions on the war and climate change and corporatism.

I only hope that he considers running, but not until the last minute and that he doesn't make any major mistakes such as buying a 747 to tour the world. His energy bill is already being made into an issue. If he is truly interested in making an environmental statement he must avoid perceived hypocracy.

Rudy would beat Hillary in her own back yard. I truely believe that if Rudy ran against Hillary, he would have a landslide win.

I think they fear Obama way more than Gore

Gore is perceived by them as being someone they already beat once (even though the Supreme Court is who beat him), and someone who's been out of the picture for 8 years, while Obama seems to be the first Democrat in a long time who's raising eyebrows among many swing voters, even in the South.

4. sigh. another the repubs fear this person or that. In the real world they don't
fear anyone. It is a contest and they are busy looking for their own candidate to worry about ours. Oh, they make fun of them. That is what repugs do for fun.

mere "contest" for them. They leave no stone unturned. The slimier the better. You had better know your enemy a lot better my friend. Gore underestimated how low they would go in 2000 and Kerry underestimated them in 2004. They will go to any and all lengths to win. THAT'S who they are. That's what they do. That's how they managed to gain control of ALL branches of government.
