GOP launches first attack on Obama
Now this oughta tell ya who they're worried about....

Just before Israel policy speech in Chicago, accuses him of skimpy foreign policy record.

WASHINGTON--The Republican National Committee took aim for the first time at Democratic White House hopeful Barack Obama, issuing a research memo aimed at highlighting the Illinois freshman senator's lack of experience and engagement on foreign affairs hours before he delivered his first policy speech on Israel.

That the gloves-are-off memo was even generated at this time is a compliment to Obama's growing strength in the Democratic primary field. The RNC would not bother going after someone who is not a potential nominee.

All the jousting on DU was between ourselves. Now, the real enemy is rearing it's ugly head.
I imagine this first round is to throw Obama off his stride. I hope he consigns a strident volley right back at them.

Actually, the perfect rebuttal would be Bush's non foreign policy experience. He couldn't even pronounce Kazakhstan. I doubt, if he can say it without stumbling all over himself today.

3. Bush had ZERO
foreign policy experience. Showing up at the Chili cook offs in Texas doesn't count, either.

The difference is that Obama reads. He's smart. And he sees Iraq for what it is.

12. Bush had mr. Gravitas carrying him on his shoulders..
Without uncle Cheney to carry the boy king, he would
have lost by a wide margin. As it is he lost bt 3 million
popular votes.

13. A president takes office the January after an election; Bush took office in 2001.
It only seems like he's been in office longer... ;)

11. A good TV ad for Obama would be
One called "The Faces of 'Experience'", in which they show clips of the "experienced" people in Washington making stupid statements about Iraq, including Dick's "We will be greeted as liberators" comment, among others from Bush, Rumsfeld, Condi, etc...

It's a good way to remind people what "experience" means in the context of the GOP people. I know Giuliani's people will run scary ads of "What if something like 9/11 happened again? Who do you want in the WH?..." that will present Rudy as a man that has already been in that situation (Rudy the "9/11 hero")...

We need to be ready, the campaign is gonna be hell... but if Obama is smart, he can beat them.

Attack is the only mode they have. They don't have any ideas of their own.

15. Except perhaps refusing to vacate the office
in the interest of national secuity.
