Ann Coulter's Republic Party: Dean Demands GOP Candidates Denounce 'Faggot' Remark
Democratic Party boss Howard Dean demanded that Republican presidential candidates denounce conservative columnist Ann Coulter after she referred to Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards as a ‘faggot’ during a speech Friday at a national conservative gathering.

Coulter, who was addressing the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C., said:

"I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'faggot,' so I - so kind of an impasse, can't really talk about Edwards."

Members of the audience seemed startled, then many clapped, and she proceeded to open the floor to questions, reported EditorandPublisher.com

2. Rather then beg for an apology that (a) will probably never come and
(b) mean nothing if anything does ooze out of a repuke's mouth, Dr. Dean should have every Democratic politician and pundit who appears anywhere simply play the tape and push the point that all republics are bigotted assholes.

And do not move off the topic until Idiot America really gets the point.

But instead, "our" leaders will play weakly, as usual.

5. Glad To See Dean Is Making The Most Of This
She has been getting away with her derogatory remarks for years with no consequences.

6. I agree
Along with the rest of the shit she said and the rest of the partisan games the right keeps playing. Why in the hell we're letting them put us on the defensive by threatening to use the filibuster is beyond me.

7. You're right.
Democrats need to emphasize it over and over again: Ann Coulter represents the republic party (hell, she introduced/endorsed Mitt Romney, a supposedly mainstream republic candidate).

8. He didn't *beg*... he "demanded" an apology...
according to the OP.

I think that's reasonable. The alternative would be to ignore it. Unreasonable, IMO.

Advisable: Try to make the leading GOPers go on record re. Coulter.... esp Romney, whom she's endorsed.

Also: Dean should blast any media that treats Coulter as though she is a legit political analyst. She's not. She's a hatemonger and advocate of terrorism.

4. In some cases, ridicule is the best weapon.
Talk show hosts will run the footage and make scathing remarks about her and her idiotic rant. This way the public will get a load of her and will sense that what she said was uncool, AND that repukes do not renounce it. Those agreeing with her would vote repoob anyway.

9. Hey, it's on Fox News! Does this strike anyone as ironic?
That Fox, and no other media outlet, has picked up the Ann Coulter story?

11. No--their viewers will consider her remarks entirely appropriate.
If FOX thought they would actually disapprove, they probably would bury the story.

10. Here's Mitt Romney's contact information.
You all know that every time the right wing senses an opportunity to pressure someone -- Barack Obama, John Kerry -- the dittoheads spring into action and make a stink in the media, online, and elsewhere. Direct pressure on the Romney campaign is not a bad thing, especially if we emphasize that Romney was making nice with some of the most vicious and mean-spirited creatures on the planet.

Maybe if they get a few thousand e-mails from thoughtful voters, they might have to do some more flipping...

By the way, I think ignoring the matter is not the answer. Show these people for what they are.

13. This isn't the first evil things she's said...
Why hasn't our side boycotted Faux before? They continue to put her on regularly. Its about time, but I fear a little late in the game to start complaining about her devilish comments and those who enable her.
