Not one more soldier will die!

I am so sick of this BS I hear from republicans that the Democrats don't know what will happen when we will pull out or the Democrats don't have a plan. Lindsey Graham is on Russert pumping up the lies and spreading fear.

The plan is get out NOW, and spare the lives of the soldiers that are sacrficing their lives for a lie. If Iraq falls into chaos it will be no different than it is now. The country will eventually stabilize on its own over time. Do I know how or when that will occur? No, but I do know it will happen without our soldiers in the crossfire.

The Republicans biggest fear is not that Iraq will turn into a terrorist state. Their biggest fear is if we pull out now, and the country improves despite our presence, all of their lies will be exposed for the whole world to see before election day. We will have definitive proof that the 3000+ soldiers and hundreds of thousands of civilian lives were truly wasted.

We won congress on this issue. Get out of Iraq now!

2. What's worth more to you?
The life of an American soldier or the life of an Iraqi civilian?

5. What are you talking about.
When we pull out of Iraq we will save the lives of both soldiers and civilians.

10. I think a full scale civil war there
will result in innumerable civilian fatalities, both directly and indirectly.

12. America's legacy: Over 3,100 dead GIs, over 650,000 dead Iraqis, millions displaced
If a foreign invader had done the same to America, millions of our compatriots would be dead, millions more would be displaced living in refugee camps or trying desperately to leave the country.

What you are proposing is to say that the rapist must remain with his victim until the victim gets over the rape.

13. We remained with Japan and Germany after WWII.
That seemed to work out well for them.

14. Except that now the USA is cast in the role of Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany
and the Iraqi people are in the role of the Filipino and French Resistance.

15. I'm not sure I'd go that far
but I'll freely state that this is EXACTLY why we should never have gone in there in the first place, and anyone with half a brain could have seen this coming a mile away. We're screwn no matter what we do.

8. Graham on Russert: How long did it take to win WW2?
:eyes: umm, how about LESS then the time we've been in Iraq? More repuke lies from his mouth. Someone needs to him that nothing bad happened when we got out of Vietnam.

9. Is this like a crime where Iraq can only be tried once.... or can only
be bombed to hell and back just "once"??? I mean, this is the second time in as little as 10 years that we have pulled that off.

11. There is only one reason we are not leaving . . .
OIL. Our government doesn't care which religious group runs the country. Our government doesn't care how many civilians are killed. Our government doesn't care how many soldiers are killed. All the government cares about is who controls the oil.

I really think we intentionally stirred up the sectarian violence as an excuse to stay.

Iraq is the cradle of civilization. They have governed themselves for thousands and thousands of years. Our country is just over 200 years old. So, here we are, telling them how to govern themselves - pretending they can't do it without us. What a cruel joke. The problem is the dumb Americans are buying it.
