Can Prince Charming be too charming?
The last 3 two-term presidents used their personality and charm to win over undecided and independent voters. But is charm enough to win in 2008? GWB inexplicably won re-election over Kerry and still has high popularity among the GOP faithful. I believe that Kerry didn't bring enough to convince the independent and GOP defectors to his side.

On the Dem side, Obama has a lot of personality, but likely will not win due to his inexperience. Hillary's working on her national personality, and Edwards trumps them all. In fact, it might be Edwards southern charm that prompted Anne C (you next tuesday), to go on an inflamatory attack on Edwards.

On the republican side, it seems that Mitt has used his business skills to win over party officials through shear force and ambition. His style is a stark contrast from old man maverick mccain and rino rudy. If Morman Mitt wins the primary, it will be a very impressive feat for a one-term governor from Mass. He would have defeated a 2 term Kansas senator and 2 term gov skinny mike huckabee.

I'm going with Morman Mitt vs. Prince Charming, with Edwards winning in a landslide.

1. Never underestimate the power of charm
Bill is charming, Hillary is not. Edwards is, as you point out, very charming.

Monkey Boy has no charm about him whatsoever.

2. morman mitt
Morman mitt is a slimy businessman - but his capitalist zeal makes him a very good salesman - its amusing how conveniently sincere he is about his conversion to the far right. His ambition and money will win over many converts seeking for a RW savior.

4. AC singled Edwards out for a reason
She might very well sense that he would be hard to beat in the general election.

You are right, the undecideds and swing voters vote for the candidate they LIKE. It's similar to voting in a high school election, for them. We NEED to remember that.

6. She didn't single him out — although she saved the "F" word for him, she
talked about all the Democratic candidates, as referred to in some news reports.
