Kucinich Marketing 101 (for everyone)
Edited on Mon Mar-05-07 08:35 PM by Flabbergasted
First we study the issues very carefully;

The Kucinich Platform

Ten Key Issues

1. Universal Health Care
2. International Cooperation: US out of Iraq, UN in
3. Jobs and Withdrawal from NAFTA and WTO
4. Repeal of the "Patriot Act"
5. Guaranteed Quality Education, Pre-K Through College
6. Full Social Security Benefits at Age 65
7. Right-to-Choose, Privacy and Civil Rights
8. Balance Between Workers and Corporations
9. Environmental Renewal and Clean Energy
10. Restored Rural Communities and Family Farms

Then market these issues to those who favor these points...?

1. Universal Health Care...
30% of population no health care

2. International Cooperation: US out of Iraq, UN in
Only 28% say the United States will probably or definitely win the war

3. Jobs and Withdrawal from NAFTA and WTO and
4. Repeal of the "Patriot Act"
Its hard to estimate but roughly 30% agree; those who don't, don't understand it.

As you go through the list you realize that he has some support from virtually everyone except "the elite" who also fund the campaigns of "those other guys." So go figure.

Next lesson 2:

Target Marketing.

1. Way to go, if we just keep pointing out what he will do to those will do it for,
we can overcome the considerable forces arrayed against him.

That figures.

I was trying to find out if and who he has endorsements from yet.

I got sidetracked while I was looking.

People need to be educated about what he stands for
and has stood for consistently over the years, imho.

I was trying to do a comparison but it's difficult.
Or I need to retake MS Office! lol ;)

3. DK has my support and invariably, when someone learns...
about his platform, he gains their support as well. The media will ignore him, so it is up to us to spread his message, talk to your friends and family, your co-workers, etc. Dennis will never be the darling of the media or the pwerbrokers behind the "leading" contenders.

But he can, and does, have grassroots support. Not enough yet, but that can change.

4. The media won't discuss a candidate who is

a threat to their corporate bosses. Greed is behind all our problems today. If the media mention Kucinich at all, it's in a disparaging manner. That alone ought to make a lot of people look into him since most people who actually vote see how they're being played by the media.
