but Bill Clinton is "ours."
I remember how shocked we were, in 2004, not only that Bill needed a heart surgery, but that he was not going to campaign for Kerry.
I think that all of us were counting on him campaigning for the 2008 nominee. That he would not take sides in the primaries until the nominee was selected.
But now.. if Hillary is not the nominee, will he still campaign for her rival - whoever he is?
And if he does, would his credibility with the Democrats and the voters in general would be tainted by his taking sides early?
Just thinking loud. Carter was never considered a treasure to be invited to national conventions or to campaign on behalf of a candidate. But Clinton is. We are proud of this past president being a Democrat, serving during a time of expansion for all - no trickle down Reaganomics crumb.
I hope that we can reclaim him regardless of where Hillary ends.
