Senator Clinton: Don't expect to see my husband too much on the campaign trail
CNN: Sen. Clinton: Don't expect to see my husband too much

Sen. Clinton in Selma, Alabama Sunday.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former President Bill Clinton is widely regarded as the best campaigner in the Democratic Party, but Sen. Hillary Clinton said Monday her husband will not be a constant fixture on the campaign trail as she seeks the Democratic presidential nomination.

The New York Democrat told Radio Iowa that President Clinton would likely not make too many campaign appearances but said, "It'll happen when it can because, you know, I love seeing him. I love having him with me."

"It is what we've done together for so many years," she added.

Clinton and the former president appeared together over the weekend in Selma, Alabama at a civil rights commemoration. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, one of Clinton's chief rivals for their party's nomination, also attended the event.

3. I expect we'll see more of him when we're farther along in the race
as for now, he's wisely staying out of the spotlight so that she can prove that she can stand on her own as a candidate. At least that's my guess.

13. Let's wait and see...
...because she had her first real test on the weekend and couldn't make it without her handholder. Sorry, she cannot stand on her own, and she didn not make it to the Senate on her own. She has ridden the coattails of her hubby and taken a fair bit public humiliation along the way too.

I hope she gets submarined big time because she cannot win the presidency. The record for our side ain't too good since Johnston, and Hillary wouldn't make it better. Sad but the hard facts.

5. Except that he wasn't really there with her for most of the day
he just showed up for his part in the afternoon, to accept his award. I was surprised, actually, because he wasn't really campaigning for her - in the one speech he gave, he was very even-handed and gave credit to everyone (he mentioned the other candidates, etc). But he wasn't there during Hillary's speech at the church or anything. I think his presence got blown out of proportion beforehand.

14.  Oliphant on MSNBC said Clinton team twisted arms to put Hill/Bill in the mix
just two weeks before the event while Obama had been scheduled for a long time.
