Hillary Clinton wants "partnership" with gays
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., told the nation's leading gay rights group in an unpublicized speech that she wants a partnership with gays if elected president. Clinton also said she opposes the "don't ask, don't tell" policy regarding gays in the military that was instituted during her husband's presidency.

Clinton wants "partnership" with gays
published Monday, March 5, 2007

<snip>

"I am proud to stand by your side," Clinton said in a keynote speech Friday to the Human Rights Campaign. Neither Clinton's campaign nor her Senate office made any announcement that she would be making the Friday address.

In the speech, Clinton joked that she shares the same initials as the group, and pledged to maintain the same close working relationship that last year helped defeat the federal amendment which would have banned same-sex marriage.

"I want you to know that this is exactly the kind of partnership we will have when I am president," Clinton told the group. "I want you to know that just as you always have an open door to my Senate office, you will always have an open door to the White House and together we can continue this journey."

We gays joined in "partnership" with Bill during his first campaign, lured by all his promises of equality...

...only to be f'd up the arse by Bill when he signed DOMA and instituted Don't Ask, Don't Tell...

And, here recently, HRC boasts how she's "evolving" on the issue of marriage equality for gays and lesbians. She NOW believes we should be allowed to form civil unions, but not allowed to marry. SEPERATE BUT EQUAL, Hillary? That old bit of Jim Crowism didn't fly for the blacks and it doesn't fly for us gays.

Find someone else to "partner" with, beotch.

10. Well, if I was gay. This is the time to ask a politician, what are you going to do for ME?
It doesn't serve any purpose to hear the 'gnashing of teeth', does it?

I'd ask them all, what are you going to do to help my situation and when?

We've come a long way baby! Since Bill was in the WH..

If the Repukes get in..it will be more of the same.

4. Suddenly Hillary has a revelation? And discovers that gays should be treated ALMOST equally.

Too little, too late, honey.

You had your chance to do something about the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and you did nothing. Unless I missed it.

Why do I get the feeling she's saying and doing what she needs to say and do just to get elected?

Why, something new...how political of her... :eyes:

This is where that baggage she's dragging around with her becomes a burden.

5. You know, a President who bases all their actions on opinion polls may be preferable...
to one who bases all their decisions on their "gut," and listens to nobody.
