That I have very good friends that are loyal Bushistas. I'm talking about people I spend a lot of time with. So, I wouldn't say all Bush supporters are scum or anything; some of them are people that have been brainwashed and enslaved by religious dogma. I say it because in private conversations, they tend to express very progressive views, but are afraid to make them part of their lives because they are afraid to anger God.

Those who have been freed from the chains of religious fanatism have openly embraced both the Democratic Party and progressivism.

My theory is that 1% are the very rich and well connected who've done VERY well with bush in charge.

The other 15% are the people who, if you asked them on the street any question such as
"Who's the vice-president?" or
"Who's your congressperson?" or
