"One day there will be a new attorney general, maybe sooner rather than later"
Those words were uttered at the Senate hearings today investigating the firing of US attorneys by the DoJ.

Who said that? The chief enabler of the DoJ hachet-thon, none other than Arlen Specter. Of course, since they came out of Arlen's mouth they're just empty words, but he also thru in "It's snowballing, mostly with the help of the Department of Justice".

1. A new Attorney General than Gonzales? How about by noon tomorrow
at the latest?

Interesting comment by Arlen Specter.

2. I think we could use a new senior Senator from Pennsylvania...
...sooner rather than later.

Look at Arlen's major achievements...

-- The "magic bullet" theory for the Warren Commission.

-- Savaging Anita Hill's reputation in order to put Clarence Thomas on the SCOTUS.

-- Repeatedly "standing up" to a Republican White House, then backing away and giving them what they want.

...and wonder at how he is still being regarded as a "key player" and "moderate" in Washington.

Personally, I'd rather have Rick Sanitarium back in the Senate rather than Arlen. At least with Senator Man on Dog, you knew where he stood. With Arlen, you get words of moderation -- but exactly the same results when it comes time to vote. :puke:

3. I'd love to have Gonzalez out. For that matter, I'd love to have Specter
out also.

And I'm still swigging champagne over Santorum's loss back in November.
