Credit cards companies suddenly think twice about gouging consumers. What timing!

Suddenly with Dems in power credit card companies are having conversions into how they treat the consumer--and so far we haven't even had to do anything.

1. They probably saw this coming all along
Just part of the BushCo style of profiteering. They knew this was wrong, but figured getting a few years of it in before Congress clamped down would still net them billions of dollars. And it did. They win/won either way...no one is asking them to give the money back retroactively, the way they retroactively charged us interest.

2. I hope the Dems
rip these people a new one!I have a card I used for furniture..I was a couple of days late on paytment because I was moving and lost some of my mail. Granted this was my own fault and I wouldn't have minded a penalty..but it is my only credit card and on a $1,200.00 debt they charged me $200 in late fees and other fees!!!! These people are vultures!

4. did you c all them, BayCity?
they'll yank those fees sometimes if you confront them with the sheer unfairness of it all, especially if your credit track record is good

3. Go get'em Dems. These are the enemies of the American people.
Why is our government even enforcing laws that allow credit card companies to break state laws? Usury is against the law in 48 states yet those states will send people to jail, take people's homes, cars, bank accounts to protect the credit card companies' profits. Those profits are over $40 billion every year!
