How come I can't find a conservative to answer two simple questions?
- If there was no underlying crime, why did libby have to lie?

and I have been asking this one for years and have yet to get an answer:

- If Ms Plame were just an insignificant desk jockey why the need to out her?

I'm not playing stump the dumbasses here. I want an answer from a bush supporter. I want some sumbitch who obviously supports criminal activity by members of his party to answer the damn questions.

1. I have a feeling the answer will be something along the lines of

2. Clinton.
That's the response I got yesterday to the first one. Took 43 seconds of mumbling before he could find the proper response - "but look what Clinton did."

The best part - my liberal buddy was in the hallway timing it. We like to see how quickly questions about bush bring out Clinton's name. It's good clean fun.

4. Oh I've got a nasty, evil, insane liberal response to that
Accepting the premise that Clinton lied (which I don't)

- If Clinton TOLD THE TRUTH nothing would have happened
- If libby TOLD THE TRUTH cheney would be on trial

just get up and dance all about them good old time gop values.

7. On trial for treason - that's the kicker.
That's what none of them want to hear.

They're good, god-fearing, America-loving leader outed a CIA agent likely jeopardizing the lives of many other agents and contacts. Not to mention hampered WMD investigations around the world.

A tough pill to swallow for a crowd that's swallowed quite a bit from these guys.

19. Of course he wouldn't be charged with treason
people throw that term around far too often here.

There's a strict constitutional definition of treason, and it doesn't apply here.

18. Not quite.
If Clinton had told the truth, they would have created some other reason to impeach. The GOP didn't attack him because he lied, they attacked him - relentlessly, mercilessly & endlessly - simply because he was a Democrat.

6. Hello Dear
Our darling Japanese Magnolia was quite the showoff this year and our Red Bud is "fixing" to show her panties. And those weeds are just raring to go. I'm gonna try some heirloom tomatoes this year. I'm gonna wait a few weeks. We'll probably get another frost this month.

We'll get another frost here too or maybe a late snowstorm. In 1987 we got about 3" of snow in a March snowstorm.

The redbuds, red maples and pear trees are blooming here. My Carolina Jessamine, daffodils and hyacinths are in bloom too. My lawn service pruned back the foundation shrubs in the front of my house so I've got to wait about a month for them to green up. The butterfly bush had gotten way too big as had the nandinas. They will come back splendidly though!

Happy gardening and take care!

11. I recall Atlanta, March 1993
12 inches of snow. Started on a Saturday morning. We had to suspend flight ops at the air station for a few days.

The Nandinas got "way to big." Incredible. My wife would love to say that. Ours are scrawny little dudes. They are like runts. Loveable and durable but don't grow much.

8. 1.He didn't lie--he had a memory lapse. Or possibly a mini-stroke.
Or perhaps early Alzheimer's. yeah, that's it--early alzheimer's.

2.That one's easy. You can't "out" someone who's an insignificant desk jockey, because they're not "in" in the first place.

C'mon, BOSSHOG--you've got to try a little harder than that.

9. whether or not a crime was committed and if its prosecuteable are two
seperate issues.

the simple fact is, libby lied under oath, he knew it was illegal. thats a crime in itself. he obviously had a purpose.

the plame question may run a lot deeper than revenge and maybe waxman will get some of the answers.
