I don't believe Newt for one minute that he had an affair during Clinton's impeachment
This is nothing but a politically timed stunt to make him appear as if he's human.

It's also aimed at bringing God into the picture for 2008 so Newt can beg forgiveness from God and get religion at the forefront again so they can start ramming it down everyone's throats.

Seriously, what woman on this planet would EVER consider having sex with a disgusting pig like Gingrich? There isn't a woman alive who'd sleep with that slob, other than his own wife who probably does it once in a while out of a sense of obligation from wedlock.

Any affair Newt had, while he pursued Clinton's impeachment, was either with a hooker or his right hand.

1. At the time of the impeachment, I remember stories about Newt
and his assistant in a van in parking lots, and it was rockin'. This is not breaking news except that he owned up to it before the media did since he wants the nomination.

2. no, he did
remember, this is the classy guy who served his first wife with divorce papers while she was undergoing chemo for breast cancer. At the time, he was the Speaker of the House, his mistress, now his wife, was on his staff, power is the greatest aphrodesiac for some women.

15. Uterine, not breast cancer...
Edited on Sat Mar-10-07 01:55 PM by Contrary1
Got to keep your facts straights when talking about these slime balls.

The woman he is married to now is his third wife.

#1 wife: Jackie Battley. Gingrich told her he wanted a divorce as she was recovering from surgery for uterine cancer in 1981, after having been together for 17+ years. He claims to not remember that.

#2 wife: Marianne Ginther. In 1999, Gingrich told her he wanted a divorce after 18 years of marriage, by phone; no less. Marianne was visiting her elderly mother, on Mother's Day at the time. She had found out a couple months earlier that she had a condition that might lead to Multiple Sclerosis. He claims to not remember that.

#3 wife: Callista Bisek. Married in 2000. Time will tell, especially if she falls ill.

30. And let's not forget that he refused to pay child support,
causing his first family to go on public aid. He's a real man's man. Jerry Falwell and Bill Bennett will love him.

3. He had the affair,
but i think you are right about the "bringing God into the picture" thing. Jerry Falwell has invited him to give the commencement address at Liberty University. I think the fundie right has their man.

Oh without a doubt. That's why they're getting this all out in the open now. Even if it didn't happen, which it probably didn't ;), Newt will come out of this smelling like a rose by showing the human side of him when he asks for forgiveness.

6. You obviously
haven't been paying attention. He was having an affair with a 25 year old House staffer. He was seen in the parking lot receiving the same favor that Clinton was impeached for. The man is scum.

22. Here's an interesting post
I found on another board. You might be able to track some of the sources down. I will work on it a bit later whwn I have some time.

"Kip Carter, his former campaign treasurer, was walking Newt's daughters back from a football game one day and cut across a driveway where he saw a car. "As I got to the car, I saw Newt in the passenger seat and one of the guys' wives with her head in his lap going up and down. Newt kind of turned and gave me this little-boy smile. Fortunately, Jackie Sue and Kathy were a lot younger and shorter then."

are the same. You can't be alone in the same room with them, unless
you are a 200lb gorilla or your hiding a can of pepper spray in the desk
drawer. They try mounting you, the minute they shut the door.

23. He is married to a very much younger woman
She was being well supported by the old goat; and besides he did the same thing to his first wife,
when he left her while she was on her deathbed, for Mary Ann, his second wife. He's a fascist pig,
and he brought his girlfried to the Clinton impeachment hearings. How much more of a hypocrite can
one be? He's a rotten "human" being.

27. Actually this came out in real time
But the MSM largely ignored it. He was having an affair with the woman who is now his third wife. That would be Callista, who was a Congressional aide at the time.

29. Oh, it's true
I lived in Newt's congressional district during the height of his power and he was a real scum-bucket. It's old news around his district about the affair. What needs to be done is tie that with the fact that he's the founder of the K Street Project, has close ties to Tom DeLay, told one of his wives that he was divorcing her while she was in the hospital being treated for cancer, took about $4 million for a book he never wrote, was constantly under investigation by Congress for "ethical lapses", has been married at least three times, and on and on. There's a pattern of corruption and moral failings that should be pointed out to every potential voter in the country.

The one good thing is he's the right-wing version of Bill Clinton in the fact that if he runs he will unite every Democrat in America to vote AGAINST him.
