Fox News tries to whitewash the record.

FOX chooses article carefully to outsource condemnation of Nevada Dems' cancellation
Reported by Chrish - March 10, 2007 -

The editors at FOXNews.com ignored 145 articles listed in a Google search that objectively told of the decision by Nevada Democrats to cancel a Democratic presidential candidate debate that would have been hosted by the right-wing network. Rather, they chose an editorial from the Las Vegas Review Journal that condemned the decision, allowing FOX to publish the opinion while pretending to report a news item.

Here are some samples from the New York Times and the LA Times, each of which reported the news objectively and succinctly. FOX ignored those and 143 other reports and instead chose this one, which they headlined "Las Vegas Review Publishes Editorial Condemning Nevada Democrats for Backing Out of FOX News Sponsored Debate", and promoted on the front web page here:

Now we can understand they're wounded and angry. But it's a legitimate news item, reported by legitimate news outlets as such. Why didn't FOX just report it without the mocking and name-calling embedded in the editorial? Because they're not about straight news - and that's why the Democrats dumped them in the first place.

9. They called us socialist, web-addicted.
What an image. And, unfortunately, it will stick unless we beat them at their own game.

the people that gleefully reported that Scooter Libby was found "Not Guilty of Lying to the FBI". They might well call themselves the "Cherry Picked News Network". And why would anyone think they were right leaning?

8. A bit off topic. . .
But nobody is at all disgusted that the other 2 headlines are Newborn baby kidnapped and Dad drops dead at wedding?

Those are LOCAL news headlines not National news.

National news contains things that effect the entire country, war, economy, politics.

It wears on me that our news makes paparazzi and tabloid and local stuff mainstream.
