No surprises here. But, in my view, he is able to keep this shit up because we avoided this debate for so long. By now the public should have been educated: supporting the troops and supporting this corrupt occupation are two very different things. And if Cheney himself wanted to support the troops, he'd get off his ass and make sure they have decent care when they come back maimed. /rant

Since our esteemed elected officials apparently won't do anything about the corrupt administration, led by the Sneering Dick himself, hopefully the people of this country will tune him out.
I'd take his "challenge" as a clear signal to deny the request.
