I just got off the 208 passenger Seabourn Legend in St. Thomas. One of the islands we did was St. Croix. Before we could head out to do our tours on the island all 208 passengers had to go through US Immigrations check. They had TEN Immigrations Officers to do passport checks. Well not really TEN doing passport checks, FIVE doing the check and FIVE supervising. After passing the check I went outside to wait for my tour. I saw the TEN Immigrations officers come out and you guessed it they had TEN black DHS cars/trucks parked next to the ship. :grr: I guess you can not be a real US Immigrations Officer if you have to share a car.......
On my tour the taxi driver said a couple times, she wished the big mega ships would stop there, I did not tell her that maybe they did not want to deal with running the Immigration parade that St. Croix required.
My cruise ended in St. Thomas and we had to do Customs and Immigration before getting off the ship... St. Thomas sent TWO Customs agents to look at passports and to get the old Customs Form.
