Just over the transom... as calls for his resignation get louder, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales will be holding a press conference at the Department of Justice at 2:00 PM today.

1. Is Bush back in town yet?

I'm betting he won't resign until Bush gets back, but it wouldn't be the first time of many that I've been wrong.

He's one-a THEM, doncha know. Total arrogance--they never believe they've done anything wrong and even if they do, they don't care--they just keep doing it.

7. Dunno anymore--if it were still a Con Majority I'd agree

but the Libby conviction has brought to light how these guys work and, specifically, that Rove as usual had his hand in it. I'm not sure the WH wants live hearings broadcast on Faux for days on end detailing Rove's involvement over this as well.

But I have to admit, I'm really enjoying the can of worms that's been opened!

He'd just submit a letter. I can't imagine why he would face the press if he was resigning.

To borrow a phrase from Bob Dylan, that would be like selling postcards of the hanging. I don't foresee a resignation. But I'd love to be wrong.

12. I foresee a major distraction, or flat denial. If distraction, it'll be something like threat code

go ahead, laugh, but I bet the reality is not much less fantastic at the press conference.
