Gonzales: Sampson still on payroll.
So Gonzo accepts full responsibility, acknowledges mistakes were made, and then submits he was kept in the dark and knew nothing. Is that about right?:wtf:

Gonzales: Sampson still on payroll.

At his press conference today, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales acknowledged that his former chief of staff Kyle Sampson, who resigned over the scandal yesterday, remains on the Justice Department payroll. “His transition — as a technical matter, he is at the Department as he transitions out and looks for another employment.”

More Gonzales: “I acknowledge that mistakes were made here. I accept that responsibility, and my pledge to the American people is to find out what went wrong here, to assess accountability, and to make improvements so that the mistakes that occurred in this instance do not occur again in the future.”

1. Honey, you change the locks and escort him out of the building.
If you take responsibility.

4. Thank you! We've probably still got Rumsfeld on the payroll, too!
No one else in America can quit their job, then remain on the payroll until they find another one.

These people need to come down to the same planet as the rest of us. In the real world, this kind of shit simply does not happen! They work for us!

5. Samson still on payroll
while Bush finds some oil company or defense contractor to work for.

Bottom line, Samson still in the DOJ offices because he is shredding
documents that incriminate himself and his boss.

Gonzales looked more guilty and nervous than anytime I've ever seen him.

there's more to these attorney firings than meets the eye.

I wonder what Waxman truly knows?

Nobody could have ever imagined that mistakes were being made...
