Probes seek to query Rove about firings

WASHINGTON — The leaders of separate congressional inquiries into the firings of eight federal prosecutors said Monday that they want to question White House political strategist Karl Rove about his alleged involvement in the abrupt dismissals.

House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers, D-Mich., said he wants investigators to interview Rove after the White House confirmed that Rove had passed along complaints about one of the prosecutors to then-White House counsel Harriet Miers.

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., who is leading the Senate investigation of the matter, said Rove's possible involvement in the dismissal of New Mexico U.S. Attorney David Iglesias represented "extremely disturbing" evidence of high-level political maneuvering.

2. Again they are trying to save rove's ass

saying he was just being a conduit and addressing the problem. What in the hell did his position have to do with the firing of attornies. His job description has absolutely nothing to do with this.

But you see how important the republicans think this sewer brain butt is, they went to HIM before going to anyone else to get someone fired. And I still can not get over Congressman Ney sending him the communication that Iran wanted to talk about the nuclear situation. WHO IN THE HELL IS ROVE. THE PUPPETMASTER. DOES HE PULL THE STRINGS OF EVERYONE IN THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION. It is about time someone squashed the turdblossom.
