John McKay, the former US Attorney from Washington fired for not pursuing bogus voter fraud indictments, seems to have a knack for cutting to the chase. Says McKay: "My question is, if Gonzales fired the guy who fired us, why is he standing by the dismissals?"

1. Good question.

Why doesn't Gonzalas reinstate these people if they've been wronged? Particularly, Carol Lam. Personally, I think they had to fire a cluster to hide the real target (Lam) that they were going after.

2. That's a good question...

My guess is that Gonzales, like so many of Dub's cronies, always places loyalty to his boss over loyalty to the Constitution. And when you've got a boss who once said that the Constitution was "...just a G**damned piece of paper", it really makes sense why routinely trashing it comes as second nature to someone like Gonzales. Anybody who can justify suspending Habeas Corpus, warrantless spying on American citizens and allowing torture of prisoners clearly doesn't have much respect for that "piece of paper". And he also isn't into accepting untimate responsibility for something like this.

I really hope the House, if Nancy Pelosi doesn't want to broach impeaching Dub right now, would at least take a serious look at impeachment of a corrupt, devious idiot like Gonzales. He's as good a place as any to start.
