A broad coalition of Christian denominations will join in an ecumenical worship service at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., then process to the White House, lighting the way to peace with 1,500 candles. Nonviolent resistance to the war and the occupation, and affirmation of Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers" will invite all people of faith and conscience to seek a new direction.

On March 17, 2007, the 4th anniversary of the start of the criminal invasion of Iraq, tens of thousands of people from around the country will descend on the Pentagon in a mass demonstration to demand: U.S. Out of Iraq Now! 2007 is the 40th anniversary of the historic 1967 anti-war march to the Pentagon during the Vietnam War. The message of the 1967 march was "From Protest to Resistance," and marked a turning point in the development of a countrywide mass movement.

Three days after the fourth anniversary of the Iraq war, the Friends Committee on National Legislation will demonstrate five ways you can change Congress. In one weekend, FCNL will model effective citizen lobbying techniques, brief participants on bipartisan bills currently debated in Congress, and help students organize real lobby visits on Iraq to move these policies towards the promotion of peace and justice.

We are having a drum circle in front of the capitol, at the encampment to stop the war site starting on March 16th, calling for the impeachment of Bush based on War Crimes. We will play all night long. Saturday, we will participate in the March on the Pentagon, Saturday night, drum circle all night long in front of the pentagon. Sunday, starting again at the encampment site, Leading into monday, another all day drum circle. Come join us while you wait to lobby your congressperson! All instruments welcome.
