I now know why republicans sound ridiculous
because they're not trying to persuade democrats to their way of thinking. What they are doing is reminding conservatives. Conservatives need to hear the same phrases over and over for them to penetrate very thick bone.

1. how did Adolf put it?
It's been a long time since I wallowed through a translation of Mien Kampf,
but it went something like " Goose step them until they stop thinking."
All that Republicon rhetoric might be the verbal equivalent of a goose step.

3. Absolutely correct.
If you've ever spent a considerable amount of time on a rightwing discussion forum, you come to learn that the goofiest, most transparent bullshit is repeated endlessly regardless of the context. Never are these things said to convince to opponent but merely to rally the troops:
  • Blame Clinton
  • Claim that all detractors have hated Bush since day one.
  • Endlessly defend your Constitutional right to own every weapon imaginable, but never blink when it comes to flushing all our right to privacy and personal liberties.
  • "The Democrats don't support the troops and have no plan for victory" but agree whenever it is said that Bush isn't giving benchmarks for victory because that's what al Qaeda wants.
It never ends. As insane as DU can be, it's seldom we hear that kind of rank stupidity.

4. There seemed to be a time
when they knew they were goofy. Then, guys like limpballs convinced them that they were the smartest - smarter than scientist. So now we have have-wits convinced that their hair-brained ideas are right, along with their morally superior rightiousness. Yeech!
