Glenn Beck calls Clinton a "stereotypical bitch"

For the fifteen thrillianth time, here's Glenn Beck wasting America's time and, for good measure, proving once and for all that he's not only a misogynist, but that he's also, quite simply, an asshole:

BECK: I don't want to sound like the old ball-and-chain guy, but Hillary Clinton cannot be elected president because - am I wrong in feeling, am I the only one in America that feels this way? - that there's something about her vocal range. There's something about her voice that just drives me - it's not what she says, it's how she says it. She is like the stereotypical - excuse the expression, but this is the way to - she's the stereotypical bitch, you know what I mean? She's that stereotypical, nagging, (unintelligible), you know what I mean? And she doesn't have to be saying - she could be saying happy things, but after four years, don't you think every man in America will go insane? Is it just me? I mean, I know this is horrible to say, but I mean it not - I would say this if she were Condi Rice and she sounded like that. Condi Rice doesn't have that grate to her voice. You know what I need to do? I need to talk to a vocal expert, because there is a range in women's voices that experts say is just the chalk, I mean, the fingernails on the blackboard. And I don't know if she's using that range or what it is, but I've heard her in speeches where I can't take it.

Please, please, please listen to the audio, because what Media Matters refers to as "(unintelligible)" is actually anything but. For good measure, from the same link, here's Beck joking about the assassination of Jimmy Carter, a man about whom he once asked "Is there a bigger waste of skin than Jimmy Carter?":

BECK: You know Khalid Shaikh Mohammed has confessed to 9-11 and trying to kill President Carter. Why would you try to kill President Carter? He's on your side, for the love of Pete.

Back to his comments about Hillary Clinton for a moment. If Ann Coulter can call John Edwards a "faggot" and see advertisers flee her site and newspapers drop her column, I fail to see why something similar shouldn't happen to Beck for this comment - and so many more. This is why the work of bloggers like Chris Achorn and his Wreck Beck movement is so important. Because garbage like this can't stand.

At all since they hired Beck. Even if there's something I want to see on, I give it a pass. I have my little tilting at windmill actions (like boycotting walmart since the early 90's) that do nothing but make me feel better. My one woman crusade against CNN for hiring Beck has about as much impact as my refusal to spend my hard earned dollars at walmart.

Whenever a woman refuses to be ordinary and ignored, she immediately is deemed a "bitch". There is no male equivalent of "bitch".

While I'm no fan of Hillary (yet), I challenge her on her issues and her past opinions. Since Glen Beck cannot sufficiently articulate what the problems are with Hillary's issues, I guess he has to fall back on the generic stand-by of "She's just another bitch".
