Sources say the judiciary committee may post another trove of WH-DOJ emails this afternoon.

4. A late Friday document dump -- now THERE's a shocker!

The only surprise is it's supposed to be done by the Judiciary Committee. I'm not sure why they'd make their timing like this, unless it's because the White House demanded and got the concession that they'd turn over the documents only if the committee would agree to release them at the lowest possible point of the news cycle.

But if it saves time in getting access to this damning evidence, I'm all for it. This White House has gone to the well a bit too often in releasing bad news late on Friday afternoon, and there are a lot of people who are right on top of this story, who will put together a précis of the worst aspects of these documents over the weekend, and publish them far and wide when we're all fresh Monday morning.

The Bushistas are reduced to hoping some number 15 seed makes it to the Sweet 16 on Sunday to take some of the spotlight off their misgovernance.
