1. zulchzulu, I think you've got it just exactly right. Valerie Plame today
was a startlingly competent witness. Her eye-contact quotient was as high as it gets in Washington and it seemed to me that she was brighter than most people in Washington, too.

The feeble Republicans could hardly even think of anything to ask her, sensing that she was entirely truthful and much better prepared.

They would have liked to have discredited her, but she ran rings around them.

2. From Part Two...
the questions are in a way absurd...I mean should the CIA really go around telling people not to out specific covert agents? Doesn't that defeat the object of them being covert?

("Psst, hey, don't tell anyone she's a secret agent"
"What?"
"She's a secret agent. Don't tell anyone")

7. That was the most crass comment out of desperation
Saying that the CIA needs to tell civilian politicians who is covert in lieu that they might be exposed in a political antic was preposterous. It was a talking point that already was shot in the head and bleeding on the sidewalk.

3. There is just one thing I regret. I regret that a Republican had to
ask her if Wilson was a Democrat and if she was. I wish he had never asked and I wish she would not have answered. I don't think people in the government have to answer that question when it's not directly relevant. On the other hand, she one-upped the Rushes and the Hannity's who would have obsessed about it if she had said no - she wasn't answering that question.

5. that was in reference to the fact that she donated money to gore in 2000--and listed her employer as
brewster-jennings. don't forget that the repukes are using that document as some of their "proof" that she was NOT covert.

with the existence of that document, it really wouldn't have done her any good to NOT say anything about her party affiliation, the repukes would only have twisted it as they do everything else. she handled it perfectly. the idiot repuke looked bad for asking her.

8. So what do they expect she should
have written when asked for her employment on the disclosure form, "I work undercover for the CIA"?

It was her cover you stupid Republic twit!

6. Mr. Davis in Part 2 was trying too hard to blame the CIA not the
Administration.

9. Which is why they dragged that
Toensing person onto the witless list. She was supposed to bolster that arguement.
