4. But there was no underlying crime.
It's the absolute right of the President to fire prosecutors that are trying to indict his friends. The President had to protect himself from allegations that Jack Who? had ties directly to him and his brain! Gonzo was just doing what any right-thinking sociopathic Republican would do.
