4. Obama isn't going to shove immigrants under the bus
and that is a good thing. At least he's honest about it. There are plenty of reasons dems and rethug leaders won't do much about illegal immigration, but no one else seems to want to be honest about it. Dems want the votes and rethugs want the money. It's that simple.

We need to revise our legal immigration process, so that people don't have to risk their lives to provide their children with a better opportunity than they had. We need to allow people to come here legally, with all of the benefits of our meager minimum wage. To do less is to condone economic slavery.

I don't think we can afford a wall around the nation, nor should we want one. The fence is ridiculous enough, not only for it's ineffectiveness, but for what it suggests about us as a nation.

8. Thoughtful, intelligent but he needs to lose the ums and ers
I enjoyed listening to him. He's a smart, knowledgeable, thoughtful man and when he smiles he lights up the TV.

On style, he needs to do something about the ers and uhs. While I may see this as thoughtful pauses, others may see it as hesitancy. Americans like their presidents to sound sure of themselves.

9. No guts, no ideas
If I wanted Lieberman I wouldn't have supported Lamont. He is all about sounding above it all, which means he won't get his hands dirty with things like tough policies or real politics.
