LBN - GORE FAILS TO FILL OUT TPS REPORTS ON TIME!!
I followed the link from Drudge. Geez, talk about desperate. :eyes: these guys are really reaching now...

http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=PressRoom.Blogs&ContentRecord_id=71e7e4c1-802a-23ad-4c16-02e25ed1bfd3

Posted By Marc Morano – 8:08 PM ET – Marc_Morano@EPW.Senate.Gov

From behind the scenes on Capitol Hill: Former Vice President Al Gore, despite being given major preferential treatment, has violated the Senate Environment & Public Works Committee’s (EPW) hearing rules.

Gore first demanded to be granted an unprecedented 30 minute opening statement to the Senate EPW Committee for Wednesday’s (March 21) global warming hearing scheduled for 2:30 pm ET.
(See "FULL COMMITTEE: Vice President Al Gore’s Perspective on Global Warming" )

The GOP minority on the EPW committee agreed to the 30 minute opening statement.

But then Gore demanded a waiver of the EPW committee’s 48 hour rule that requires all witnesses before EPW to submit their testimony in advance. The GOP minority on the EPW committee then agreed to waive the 48 hour rule in favor of allowing Gore to submit his testimony 24 hours before the hearing.

Now who is Marc Morano? Why none other than Rush Limbaugh's so called "Man in Washington" of course.
http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Marc_Morano

Marc Morano is communications director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Morano commenced work with the committe under Senator James Inhofe, who was majority chairman of the committee until January 2007. In December 2006 Morano launched a blog on the committee's website that largely promotes the views of climate change sceptics.

Morano is a former journalist with Cybercast News Service (owned by the conservative Media Research Center). CNS and Morano were the first source in May 2004 of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth claims against John Kerry in the 2004 presidential election <1> and in January 2006 of similar smears against Vietnam war veteran John Murtha.

Morano was "previously known as Rush Limbaugh's 'Man in Washington,' as reporter and producer for the Rush Limbaugh Television Show, as well as a former correspondent and producer for American Investigator, the nationally syndicated TV newsmagazine." <2>

1. Chairman of the committee has waved the requirement
so, there's nothing to see here. (Barton just raised this as a parlimentary inquiry and the Chairman shot him down.) :)

2. Not to worry! Rep. Barton R-Tx. tried to take care of this at the
opening of the hearing! He asked FOUR (I think it was 4) Parlimentary precedure questions, all relating to bending the "rules" and how this was unfair to the Minority! Rep. Dingle shot him down! Basicly told him the Chairman makes the decisions, YOU DON'T!

6. Yeah...
It's just we're putting new coversheets on all the TPS reports before they go out now. So if you could go ahead and try to remember to do that from now on, that'd be great, Al. (*slurps coffee*)

12. Oh no! Unprecedented!
Gee, the Republicans sure seem to have forgotten quickly that the committee chairman sets the rules for the committee, not minority party back-benchers. And to take testimony from a former Vice President, as the committee chair, I'd give him a certain amount of deference, particularly if he was from my own party.

Republicans and their supporters just don't seem to know how to conduct themselves, do they? I wonder if they go to someone else's house and criticize everything they see? I suppose if they do, I'll bet they wonder why they're not invited for a second visit.
