Remember the look of shock on GW and KKKarl's faces after the election?
I thought it was from shock that the machines didn't do what they were supposed to do to pull off enough victories to retain the majority. But I now wonder if it wasn't because they suddenly realized that everything they had been doing for 6 years--with the support of a Republican majority in both houses--was suddenly at an end...that there was a Democratic bulldozer coming to mow them down, and they had all those records that were going to be unearthed.

We should have bought stock in paper shredders and matches.

3. It is gratifying, in a depressing sort of way, that everything
we thought we knew about the source of their smirky self assurance just before the election was exactly true, in spades. The latest US attorney scandal is certainly exposing more of that truth. drip...drip...drip

4. Every tree that we've barked up so far has had a cat in it.
"We've only had subpoena power for the last six weeks and every tree that we've barked up so far has had a cat in it," said a senior Democrat who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to speak publicly. "Imagine where we'll be after six months."

It will be a long time before I forget that prophetic quote. I wish I knew who said it.

6. I like it too ... and if we help spread it around, it will be on "everyone's"
lips and it won't matter who said it first!

I really believe in the ability of just a few or even one person to influence many simply by repeating a word or a phrase everywhere they go. When I was in high school, my friend and I thought we'd test the idea and invented a word and a meaning for it and just started using it with others. When they asked what it meant, we'd tell them, but otherwise we just used it like it was already a word.

I swear it wasn't a month until you could hear that word ringing through the halls in our school quite often!

Such efforts produce fruit even more quickly these days, too, with the enhancements of communication we have.

Also, I keep hearing Watergate being mentioned more and more lately, and that's definitely a good sign. I think people are, to use a very old saying, believing that where there is so much smoke, there must be some fire! All the 'Publican scandals and the growing number of investigations of White House people ... it's all building up in the minds of Americans, even those who don't pay close attention to politics.

I'd love to see a lot more of those stunned looks on the faces of that pack of smirkers in OUR White House! Chimpy and his pals don't have a care about all the harm they've brought to our country and us, but they sure as hell care about their own hides!

Am I sadistic to think about their discomfort with a certain level of glee in my heart? Sometimes I worry that I'm getting vengeful, so I just try to think of it this way: I hope they all get what they deserve!

7. Revenge
There's an old Chinese proverb that says, 'Before you seek revenge, dig two graves.' I always figured that's because you might get your enemy and one of his cronies too.

You might be getting vengeful but don't worry. In this case it's a virtue.

8. I still think they were shocked that they lost. We know they rig everything.
The courts, the govt attorneys, polls, media, you name it.
Everything was in place for them to win.

And after the election, I am sure they thought they could buffalo and or bribe the Dems. These tactics always work for them.
