just say, sure, I'll tell you what happened...
But not under oath, and with no records!
Run a stop sign? Tell the officer your name, but don't show any documentation that might be inconvenient. DUI? make them turn off that camera. Caught with marijuana? Hey Mr. Policeman, don't write anything down here! Small Claims court? Tell the judge what happened, but only in his chambers, in private, not under oath. Accused of cheating someone? Tell the civil court you will "explain" it all. Charged with a crime? No need for a jury, and can't those silly court reporters find some other typing job. Bankruptcy? Happy to discuss it, and maybe send some of the paperwork. IRS? No need for paperwork, just visit the local IRS office and tell them the information. They can take notes.
Won't the system for justice in America be better if we all just agreed to explain what happened in private, without witnesses, transcripts, or being under oath?
