To me, it sounds as though this is revenge of some sort. Yes, the Clenis fiasco was a stupid, politically motivated fishing expedition funded by taxpayers to the tune of $40+ million.

Investigating the attorney purge is not payback, it is not a witchhunt, and it is not politically motivated. Congress is fulfilling their constitutional obligation to keep the the executive branch in check - nothing more, nothing less.
