truth from Free Republic (not kidding)
freeper dialogue -

Q: So what if Rudy is an adulterer? He's not running for deacon.
A: (the gem) I want my President to have higher morals than a deacon. I can change my church but I can't change my country.

1. Some of Them Are Consistent
some of them aren't condemning Clinton for adultery while forgiving Guiliani.

Me, I think I can forgive A divorce. But with Guiliani, it's two divorces. Furthermore, I think he handled his second one in a particularly ugly way.

2. I don't judge any candidate on divorces, church afiliation, gender,
or any of the other popular subjects that the RW usually tests on. I do however judge each one on their personality and ethical behavior.

I've heard way too many times about Rudy's uncontrolable bad temper. That's most likely the reason for his two divorces! Everyone gets angry, and in the right situation, they should, but an uncontrolable temper could be a literal didaster in a President!

I also remember, Rudy was a very unpopular Mayor just prior to 9/11. There is no reason that I've heard to believe he wouldn't be that same disliked man as Prez.

4. That is what I think, too. I don't care if people get divorces but
I do care how they go about it.

Look at Newt? That was just plain awful. No one should do what he did to another person. That action says way more about him than anything else I have ever heard or seen.

I kind of Guliani but not for president. Although he would be a huge improvement over Bush - if we had to choose a Repub.

3. How about good old Newt?
Telling his wife he was divorcing her while she was in the hospital? The Repub party is all do as I say and not as I do.

5. Can you trust Deo-con Rudy with the collection plate? Deo-con. Remember, I coined it here.
Edited on Sat Mar-24-07 09:17 AM by shain from kane
Definitions of Deo-con:
1. A sometimes Conservative who claims God is on his side, who believes in the sanctity of marriage at a later stage in life.

2. A convert who believes in the Man on the Silver Mountain. Sometimes spelled as "Dio", as in Ronnie James Dio.
