Can Domenici be pushed out? for his involvement in Attorney gate?
Can the people recall him? can the Senate get rid of him?

1. The senate can open an ethics enquirey into the matter
and it can anywhere from nothing to censure, to removal, the last one... I don't recall it even been done

2. Domenici and Wilson should both be investigated
and they should be not ony censured, but removed from office although I don't really see that happening, unfortunately.

The DCCC is running a radio ad calling for Heather Wilson to "Come Clean" But there is no mention of Domenici...and their names should always be linked. Heather Wilson is Pete Domenici's creature... and they are both minions of the Neo-cons.

The Domenici-Wilson Scandal.. might work just fine.

INVESTIGATE IMPEACH INDICT INCARCERATE :patriot:

3. Perhaps, but it would open a huge can of worms.
Seriously. Senators and Representatives, among other "local" politicians, frequently have some influence in who gets chosen as US attorney.

Then they tend to stay in touch from time to time. Some big issue locally? Ask the USA about it.

If they investigate Domenici--who probably had a say in Iglesias' hiring--they might well face a ticklish situation: Is all pressure, real or perceived, a bad thing? If so, shouldn't they ask every US attorney at least for the last two presidents if any senators or representatives made a call that they perceived as pressure ... or maybe just ask for records of any contact at all. Now *that* would be a truly interesting list.

They might investigate whether or not Domenici improperly talked to administration officials. But I'm not sure how to define "improper" in a useful way here, and the ultimate decision for firing Iglesias didn't rest with Domenici.
