Hillary Clinton, Goddess of Peace
“If we in Congress don’t end this war before January 2009, as president, I will,” she has said.

Sounds to me like she's the farthest thing from any war goddess...and she said this well before any bill in the House was up for a vote.

5. Yikes I didn't intend to cause you to heave, Donna!
Would it make you feel better if I edited my title to "Hillary Clinton, Goddess of Peace and Love"?

6. honestly hun, I'm tired of all the goddess malarky period --
on BOTH sides.

It's too darned early to be getting into these pi**ing matches over candidates. I hadn't seen the goddess of war post before I saw yours.

I'm going to go puke on that one, too. I'm an equal opportunity barfer. :silly:

She's every bit as human as her husband. Please don't deify her.

and then let me blow smoke up your butt.

She's got to do a lot more than that to convince me, based on her record. Peace Goddess my ass.

11. Hmmm...and if she had....
Don't you think she would have tucked tail and apologized by now for her IWR vote? I mean I am constantly being told here that that is what the American people want right? So if she was the panderer you say she is...on the level of say...Dennis Kucinich...don't you think she would have already genuflected in front of the "apologize now" crowd?

14. No, Ms. Clinton knows exactly who and who not to get down on her knee(s) for (genuflecting)
and she picks politically quite well.

I'm simply stating that Ms. Clintons penchant for peace is less than noteworthy. She's a hawk, granted, a more progressive one.

As far as Kucinich? That man has stood his ground from the beginning on this debacle in Iraq, and has nothing or no one to pander to except his own integrity.

15. Hmmm...
So his gear stripping shift from a anti-choice to a pro-choice position...

His like switch on stem cell research...

And is sudden discovery that maybe a flag-desecration amendment wasn't a good idea after all...

All right before running for President...shouldn't be considered pandering I suppose....?

19. "Goddess of Peace" is as over the top as "Goddess of War"
Edited on Mon Mar-26-07 09:16 PM by Clarkie1
Truth is, Hillary Clinton is no Goddess. Hillary Clinton is a mortal being, and nobody is going to convince me otherwise...from either side.
