So I put in Elizabeth Edwards cancer and I got a lot of responses about John running for office and how she has a martyr complex.

Just not ready to give John and Elizabeth a break here.

5. Why? Cancer sucks, no matter who has it

and Snowjob is in for surgery followed by more chemo if the surgery turns up a malignant metastasis. I don't wish that on anyone, not even a lying traitor to his country.

I have room for a little compassion for the most wrongheaded human being out there, even one who is wealthy and educated enough to have been able to listen to the part of the population that doesn't lie for political and economic gain. Yes, he's chosen his pack of lies. However, he can still hurt and he's going to.

It may force the White House to appoint a new official liar, though. I wonder who the local Baghdad Bob will be. Hannity? Nah, making too much money as a Pox liar. Beck? Nah, too unsympathetic. Savage? Nah, no sense of decorum.

My guess is that it'll be some small town screamer.

As for Snow, I hope he comes through OK and wakes up to a few things as he does.

social grace was prominently on display on the passing of Molly Ivans, as well.
There is little to be gained from demonstrating one's own intellectual inferiority, especially since most of the inferiority we observe is the self serving glitter of endless repetition of narrow minded talking points gleaned from such crass practitioners of poor taste and restricted judgment as Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, et al.

How sad to live in a world wherein narrow ideology and deliberate obtuseness are celebrated as proper and admirable, while graciousness and intense self questioning are regarded as liberal deceit and conceit.

...........There's actually a very nice thread on DU about Tony, with prayers and get well wishes, although their mod did have to post a message that hate messages would be deleted (and some have been)--they seem to think this issue is the same as the one with Edwards and his wife--big difference--Tony isn't running for President!
