Obama To Head To Iowa
03-28-2007 12:42 AM

(Council Bluffs, IA) -- Dozens of Iowans are getting involved in U.S. Senator Barack Obama's "Hope. Action. Change" campaign by hosting events when he comes to town this weekend. Senator Obama will stop in Council Bluffs on Saturday, as well as hitting Denison, Harlan and Sioux City all by Sunday. The community is encouraged to come out and discuss the impact of the Iraq war and changes in America with Senator Obama. All of Senator Obama's Iowa meetings are free and open to the public.

1. When I was a boy, no Afro-American ever ran for president.
Let Iowans of all ages, but especially the very young, see a brilliant Afro-American man campaigning in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids over these next 9 months leading up to the caucuses.

Let them understand that they are seeing the realization of the sacrifices of many millions of Americans over many years as Barack Obama, their neighbor from Illinois, shakes hands, waves back at crowds, generates good will about people's role as citizens, and speaks to them about the future of their country.

It is a good day to be a Democrat.

3. Exactly!
The fact that we might be seeing in Obama the first Afro-American president is simply... amazing...
